Hardware
The machines your team actually sits in front of.
Diagnostics and repair, custom builds specified to the work, data recovery, and clean workstation rollouts with your image and security agents already in place before the box reaches the desk.
Workstations are where most of the frustration lives. They are also where most of the risk lives, because they are the machines people read email on, plug things into and carry out of the building.
We handle both sides of that. The repair side is straightforward: diagnostics, component-level work where it makes sense, data recovery and migration when a drive is failing, and honest advice about when a machine is genuinely worth repairing and when replacing it is the cheaper decision.
The deployment side matters more than it sounds. A workstation rolled out from a standard image, with the right software, the right security agents and the right account configuration already applied, is a machine you can support and defend. A workstation set up ad hoc by whoever unboxed it is a machine that will surprise someone later.
Talk through what you need →- Offices running a mix of machines bought at different times from different places, where no two are configured the same and supporting them takes longer than it should.
- Businesses with a specific technical workload, design, engineering, accounting software or anything database-driven, where a generic machine is a daily tax on someone's time.
- Anyone facing an end-of-support deadline on an operating system, which is a hard security problem rather than a preference. Unsupported software is a question on every cyber insurance application.
Scope
What we handle
Diagnostics and repair
Desktops and laptops, hardware and software. We diagnose before quoting, and we will tell you when a repair is not worth the money.
Custom builds specified to the workload
A CAD workstation, a machine running a line-of-business database and a front-desk PC have genuinely different requirements. Specifying to the actual work avoids both bottlenecks and wasted budget.
Data recovery and migration
Recovering what can be recovered from failing drives, and moving a user cleanly onto new hardware with their data, settings and access intact.
Standardized imaging and rollout
One approved image with your software, security agents and configuration baked in, so every machine in the building starts identical and supportable.
Hardware sourcing and warranty coordination
Specification, procurement and dealing with the manufacturer when a warranty claim is needed, so your staff are not the ones on the phone.
Secure disposal of what comes out
Replaced machines still hold everything that was ever on them. Retired hardware routes into our certified data destruction process rather than a storage closet.
Process
How a workstation refresh runs
A refresh handled badly costs a week of productivity. Handled properly, users arrive to a working machine.
- 01
Specify against the actual work
What each role genuinely needs, rather than buying one configuration for everyone and having half the office underserved and half overpaying.
- 02
Build the standard image
Operating system, software, security agents, policies and configuration, approved once and applied identically to every machine.
- 03
Stage and migrate
Machines imaged and configured before they reach a desk, user data and settings migrated, and the changeover scheduled so nobody loses a working day.
- 04
Retire the old hardware properly
Old machines collected, media sanitized following the NIST SP 800-88 guidelines, documented by serial number, and whatever cannot be reused routed to a certified recycling partner.
Common questions
PC Repair & Builds
Do you work on individual machines or only business fleets?
Both. We repair individual machines and we handle fleet deployments for business clients. The approach differs, but the diagnostic work is the same.
Should we repair this machine or replace it?
It depends on the failure, the age and what the machine does. A failing drive in an otherwise current machine is usually worth fixing. A failing board in a machine already past its useful life usually is not. We diagnose first and tell you which situation you are in.
Can you recover data from a drive that will not boot?
Often, yes, depending on whether the failure is logical or physical. We will tell you honestly what the odds look like after diagnostics rather than running up time on a drive that is not coming back.
What happens to our old computers?
They go through our certified data destruction process. Media is sanitized following the NIST SP 800-88 guidelines, every device is documented by make, model and serial number, and what cannot be reused goes to a certified e-waste recycling partner rather than a landfill.
